My name is Luzminia, a dedicated and compassionate health care professional, based in Mississauga with a passion for supporting seniors. Having lived in Canada since 2003, I have cultivated over 5 years of hands-on experience in providing comprehensive care for individuals suffering from different conditions, namely Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, arthritis among others. I am a kind-hearted individual who is honest, trustworthy, and hardworking. My personal hobbies include cooking, biking, baking, and watching good movies, activities I believe can be adjusted to the preferences of those in my care. Seeing as I am a widow and a mother, I inherently understand the importance of a safe and comfortable environment. This, combined with my formal education of a College. Bachelor's Degree, has sharpened my ability to offer a range of duties like housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation, walking assistance, Alzheimer and Dementia care, Parkinson's care, patient positioning, toileting assistance, among others. I have a proven ability to work with children with disabilities and I'm open to live-out arrangements in Home Health Care, Retirement Homes, and Clinic or Hospital setups. Being fluent in English and Tagalog offers me a unique lens to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds. Apart from my overall full-time availability from Monday to Friday, I possess the flexibility to relocate and travel as per the specific job requirements. I am a non-smoker and can swim well which adds to my profile's versatility. I am skilled in performing a variety of duties ranging from housekeeping, cooking, Providing companionship and social interaction, Assisting with medical equipment and devices ( Oxygen tanks and Walkers )and laundry to more specialized task such as Alzheimer / Dementia care Palliative care, Parkinson care.
