Kajal K.
As a caregiver, I am compassionate, patient, and deeply committed to creating a safe and comforting environment. I genuinely enjoy interacting through meaningful activities, sharing thoughts, and listening carefully so individuals feel valued, respected, and truly at home. Building trust is very important to me, and I always strive to provide emotional and physical support with kindness and understanding. I especially enjoy incorporating music therapy into my caregiving approach, as it helps individuals feel calm, relaxed, and emotionally connected. Music creates a warm atmosphere where they can feel the love and care they deserve. For me, caregiving is more than just a job—it is a responsibility and a privilege that brings new opportunities to positively impact someone’s life with compassion, dignity, and love.
I am a dedicated and compassionate caregiver with experience working with two care companies: Proof of Care and Guarding Life. I have also worked in a private home as a live-in caregiver, where I planned daily routines, managed schedules, supported healthy eating habits, and provided personalized day-to-day care with love and patience. I have hands-on experience supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease. I use music therapy as part of my caregiving approach to help clients feel calm, supported, and emotionally connected. Currently, I am working in long-term care at UBC Long Term Care, where I continue to gain valuable experience in providing high-quality care. I hold caregiving certification, including training in dementia care and infection control management. I am committed to providing safe, respectful, and compassionate care to improve the quality of life for those I support.
