I am available to start immediately and I currently live in Burnaby but willing to relocate for the right fit live in position or can also commute for a live out position up to 40km.. I have a vehicle so transportation isn't an issue. I have a strong passion for working with children with disabilities and with elderly suffering from dementia and other medical complications. I am seeking a full-time caregiver/companion position. I have my First Aid and Food Safety Certificate I'm currently looking for a live-in or live-out position, but my previous roles have all been live-in positions with the exception of 3 live-out positions. All positions include performing various duties such as all health care aspects, housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation, running errands, cleaning bathrooms, assisting with walking, vacuuming, hand washing dishes, escorting to appointments, planning visits and outings together or with family, bathing assistance, transfers, Hoyer Lifts, washroom assistance, supervising homes, providing Parkinson and Dementia care, patient positioning, bed baths, and dressing/grooming assistance as well as supervising that medication is taken on time. I am open to working in homes, health care and retirement homes. I have experience working with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, Bedridden individuals, Diabetes, Incontinence, Osteoporosis, Visual Impairment, Paralysis, Arthritis, Hearing Impairment, Fractured Hip, and those who have undergone cataract removal. I am looking for a long-term commitment and I am confident in my abilities to provide compassionate and dedicated care to individuals in need.
