Sharon P.
I was born in South Wales, UK, and immigrated to Canada with my parents when I was 3. I have two grown children, a daughter who is 27 and a son who is 26. I enjoy reading, gardening, and have recently taken up dot painting. I love my job; there is nothing better than finishing a shift knowing you have made a difference in your clients' lives. I treat my clients as I would like my parents or myself to be treated.
With over 33 years of experience in senior and healthcare, I am a dedicated and compassionate caregiver ready to start immediately. I have my Health Care Aides (HCA) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Gentle Persuasive Approach Certificate from the Alzheimer’s Society, Palliative Care Certificate, and Level 2 Brain Injury Rehabilitation Certificate from Brock University. I have a driver's license, my own vehicle, and can work full-time as a Personal Support Worker in a Live-Out setting. I have extensive experience working with patients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, and various other conditions. I am skilled in tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning, bathing assistance, Alzheimer's/Dementia care, and patient positioning. I am also experienced in palliative care, lifts and transfers, catheter care, and more. I am fluent in English and am committed to providing the highest level of care to those in need. I look forward to making a positive impact in the lives of my clients.
