My name is Ihuoma. I am an early childhood assistant and previously worked for Sentient HR. I am married with three kids and I love taking care of kids and people in general. I finished my internship at Amica Senior Lifestyle as a NACC certified PSW. I would love to pursue my career as a PSW to help care for seniors and give my support to improve their lives. I personally took care of my mom when her hip replacement surgery failed, which was a lot of experience for me. My experience and skills include companionship, assisting with daily living, feeding, changing clothes/briefs, transferring with a Hoyer Lyft, setting up oxygen, emptying urine bags, reminding patients of the time for medication as prescribed by a professional nurse, and caring for seniors with dementia using a gentle persuasion approach. I also enjoy taking them on walks. I love doing what I do.
