I am a "Junior Senior" ...semi-retired librarian who enjoys working with seniors. Rather than letting care-giving dominate a supportive relationship, I like to discover joint interests and support curiosities. Small adventures, meaningful conversations, slower living is what it's all about. It's true - I used to run my own family memoir business, so I have a particular interest in listening to and documenting personal stories. I am physically fit and find joy in the outdoors and growing vegetables. I enjoy animals. I am always eager to explore new recipes and generally am committed to healthy eating. I lived a year at a Buddhist retreat and learned yoga. Willing to share what I've learned and a daily yoga practice - on the mat or in a chair. I have a good sense of humour and love to laugh and sing. I've taken a few art-collage courses and thrifting for supplies is always fun. I already have a police check from fall 2022 but am willing to get another more current one. As a life long learner, I seek out courses that will assist in delivering quality care. I'm currently learning about dementia.

I have experience caring for my mother and my father-in-law. My mother's care was after surgery and I assisted her with personal care, household chores, cooking, groceries, etc. My father-in-law fell and broke his arm.
