Kristina Marie E.
My name is Kristina Marie, and I am a 27-year-old compassionate and dedicated caregiver with a strong educational background, holding both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree. I am seeking a part-time position as a Caregiver/Companion or Personal Support Worker, where I can utilize my experience and passion for helping others. I am based in Abbotsford, BC, and I am available to work on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with flexible hours throughout the day. I have gained valuable experience working with elderly clients, particularly in Coquitlam, where I assisted individuals dealing with conditions such as Osteoporosis and Arthritis. This experience has strengthened my ability to provide high-quality personal care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and offering emotional support. I also have experience working with children with disabilities, providing them with the support and care they need. In addition to my hands-on caregiving experience, I hold a First Aid Certificate and a Dementia Care Certificate, equipping me with the necessary skills to manage emergencies and provide specialized care to individuals with dementia. I am also experienced in performing light household duties such as meal planning and preparation, laundry, and general tidying to ensure a comfortable and safe living environment for those in my care. Although I do not have a personal vehicle, I hold a learner’s driver's license and can travel using public transportation or with others. I am a non-smoker and am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of those I care for. I am eager to contribute my knowledge, experience, and dedication to a meaningful role in Home Health Care, Retirement Homes, or Clinics/Hospitals. I am open to both Live-In or Live-Out opportunities and am willing to obtain a police check and relocate for the right opportunity. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my skills and passion for caregiving to help improve the lives of others.
Caring for my grandmother was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. It wasn’t just about helping her with daily tasks—it was about being there for her, offering comfort, companionship, and dignity in her later years. That experience made me realize how much I enjoy caring for others, especially those who need patience, kindness, and understanding. As a teacher, I have developed qualities that make me well-suited for caregiving. Patience, empathy, adaptability, and the ability to communicate clearly are all essential in both roles. Just as I guide and support students in their learning journey, I find joy in providing care and reassurance to those who rely on me. Whether it’s offering encouragement, assisting with daily needs, or simply being a compassionate presence, I see caregiving as another way to serve and uplift others. Though I may not have formal experience in elderly care beyond my time with my grandmother, my passion for caring for people, my natural ability to connect with others, and my dedication to making a positive impact make this work deeply fulfilling. I would love the opportunity to bring these qualities into a professional caregiving role, knowing that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a world of difference in someone’s life.
