Lisa G.
I am Lisa, a 50ish pet and house caretaker based in Victoria. I've spent the last seven years caring for a variety of pets, including but not limited to dogs, cats, birds and fish - each one capturing a special place in my heart. I am particularly adept at caring for senior pets, providing them with the extra love and attention they need in their golden years. I'm also experienced in providing critical care to pets, including administering animal First Aid/CPR, and both oral and injected medication. In addition to pet care, I am a specialist in house sitting and housekeeping, making it even less stressful for you to leave your home for an extended period. My experience in home care goes beyond just professional cleaning and organizing - it extends to ensuring your beloved pets feel safe and comfortable in their own space even when you're not around. A non-smoker with a valid driver's license and my own vehicle, I am perfect for the job of driving your pets to parks, vets, and wherever they need to go. I am also a skilled swimmer which is particularly handy for those dogs who love a good swim! I am looking to engage in house sitting, drop-in visits (to feed and play), and dog walking tasks that mostly fall in the morning to mid-day slot from Monday to Friday. Please note I am unable to bring your pets to my home for care. In addition to my years of hands-on experience, I also hold a certification in Animal First aid/CPR. Trust me with your pets and I will make sure they receive the highest standard of care, just like they would with you! I am fluent in English and am a proud Canadian citizen with a clean police check. Being a pet lover and animal care professional brings me great joy. I've missed the company of my own dogs, who have long since passed, and have found a fulfilling way to fill my love for animals by caring for others' pets. I take great pride in contributing positively to a pet's life and to bring a sense of tranquility to pet owners knowing their loved ones are in good hands. On a lighter note, believe me when I say, there is nothing better than seeing a happy, tired pet at the end of the day resulting from good exercise and play. Looking forward to being a part of your pet’s life starting from 7th January 2025.
I have had the pleasure of pet sitting for many years, mostly dogs but also a few cats and a parrot. I have looked after a female chocolate lab while she was pregnant and her 13 puppies, which was a full-time job to make sure each puppy was given to a loving home. I have had four dogs of my own, but sadly no longer have them. Currently, I look after a family by cleaning their house and taking care of their family dog, making her food from scratch as well.
