Over ten years of experience with children from babysitting to nannying, I have worked with children in foster care with my family before moving to Vancouver in 2021. Teaching children how to Ice skate, doing different child development courses with the Kamloops Métis association to support kids in and out of different homes including Circle of Security. As well as car seat safety for infants and kids and doing training for The kids safe project. I have my Food safe license level 1, and children's CPR (but nay need to update). I am in the works of getting my ECE License as well in the near future for BC as I had done some training in the states when I was there for school in 2013 (but I dont think all my credits carried over.) Working with children has always been prevalent in my life and there is a lot of experience. At the end of the day I enjoy making children smile and giving them a space to always be themselves and most of all, having fun. I’ve learnt over the years, especially working with at risk children and youth, that being able to let them be kids and be a great support is one of my biggest desires in this life. And a positive, calm, encouraging presence can mean so much. Was also a Companion to a young woman with a rare form of Cerebral Palsy for a few months. I would work within her family’s home, go outside and outings with her and the family, helped cook, clean, do laundry. Also would assist her with her school work and writing for the local newsletter for others in the community with Disabilities.
