I’ve owned and cared for cats and dogs for over 19 years and have always been a huge animal lover. I currently have an Australian Shepherd who is very well trained, along with a cat, a snake, and a spider, so I’m comfortable caring for a wide range of animals and personalities. Through owning a high-energy, long-coated breed like an Australian Shepherd, I’ve also gained hands-on grooming experience and learned how important proper coat maintenance, brushing, hygiene, and routine care are. For the past 5 years, I’ve volunteered with VOKRA as a cat socializer, helping shy and nervous cats become more comfortable around people through patience, consistency, and positive interaction. Over the past 2 months, I’ve also taken on the role of Foster Navigator in addition to cat socializing, helping support foster placements and communication within the rescue. I’m very attentive to animal behavior, genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and take pride in making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
