I am a friendly person who can be soft-spoken or assertive as needed and as I learned from teaching dance to children and growing up with animals. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and enjoy arts and crafts. I am living away from home with a group of kind individuals currently in school or working. I have to take the rest of the year if not longer off of school because i have a physical injury that I can live everyday life with but cannot dance with. I also can not be walking or sitting for 3+ hours at a time, i have to change up what I am doing due to pain so I had to quit my other job and am now looking for work I can do. Since my degree is in dance I have to take time off until I am better. I am very detailed oriented and outgoing though I was a shy kid when I was younger. Having pets and learning their unique personalities helped me come out of my shell and become less shy and more outgoing. When meeting a new animal I will give them their space and let them learn my smell and my demour. I will sit with them if they are smaller so they can feel less intimidated or threatened which includes moving slower with no sudden loud noises or fast movements as to not startle or scare them. As we build a relationship or rapport whether that takes minutes, or days together I will become more engaging with them. Seeing how they listen and what commands work for them or what they like to do.

I have no paid experience caring for animals but I have grown up with dogs, cats, reptiles and rodents at pets since I was a child and love gaining their trust to be able to best take care of them.
