Catrin R.
I am an active, animal-loving student entering my third year at the University of British Columbia in September and majoring in Psychology. I have lived on the North Shore for my whole life, where I enjoy hiking in the local forests with my 8-month old Golden doodle, to swimming in the ocean at my cabin on Keats Island. I've been surrounded by animals my whole life, from dogs and cats, to horses. My whole family is passionate about animal care, as we own and care for a rescue pony. I have previous experience in a dog daycare and professional dog walking, both of which taught me how to care for dogs of various breeds and temperaments. Animals have always held a special spot in my heart and I wish nothing but the best care for each and every one, no matter the species, breed, or behaviour.
I have 4 previous months of experience working in a dog daycare, where I ensured the safety and well-being of dogs of various breeds and temperaments. I monitored safe and beneficial play between dogs, using positive re-enforcement when correcting was needed. I would have about 5 to 10 dogs in my care at a time. I also have experience in professional dog walking (I am currently working part-time in this position).
