I'm Arlene, a 53-year-old animal-loving professional from New Westminster. After growing up surrounded by a multitude of animals, my passion for caring for them has never left me. Despite working for a decade with infants and toddlers - skills that have only been enhanced by the experience of becoming a parent - my desire to work with pets has brought me to pet care. I have a year's experience in pet care but my life-long interest has allowed me to understand the varied nutritional, training, and general care needs of animals. You can trust me with any species, be it dogs, cats, birds, or fish. I’m also comfortable with different tasks, such as looking after senior or special needs animals, implementing exercise for high-energy animals, and brushing or administering medication. My services are flexible and can include anything from short drop-in visits for feeding and playing, to taking your pet for walks, providing transportation, or even house-sitting. I am fortunate enough to have my own car which I can use for work, making it easy to meet your pets' needs. Moreover, except for swimming, I'm fully equipped to ensure your pet has the best care possible, hahaha. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to live in my own apartment. Despite my enriched career working with children, I’m ready to apply my nurtured patience and understanding of unique needs to taking the best possible care of your pet. I am available around the clock throughout the week, so I can make sure your pet is looked after at your convenience, day or night. Finally, I can converse fluently in English, making communication seamless. I am willing and excited to start caring for your beloved pet immediately. Pet sat one dog and two cats for my neighbor for two weeks while they were on vacation in the Summer of 2018 Dog sit once a week for four to eight hours Oct 2024 to present.
