My name is Deserai. As an animal lover hailing from Mississauga, I’ve had a love for animals that's spanned for as long as I can remember. With 8 years of valuable experience in pet care under my belt and having proudly called myself a rabbit owner since 2018, I am well-versed in handling various types of pet needs. My beloved rabbit, Shadow, has not only been my treasured pet but my inspiration for aiming a career as a vet. Despite being just 18, my passion is evident in the level of care and attention I provide to my furry friends. I carry a resilience and understanding approach towards the challenges that may experience by pets with anxiety, as it's a trait closely observed in my dog at my other home. My availability spans throughout the week, afternoons and evenings being the time frames I'm most available. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am free during the evening and night. I've got a well-rounded skill set from providing conventional pet services such as dog walking, house sitting, boarding, grooming, and feeding to more specific services like first aid/CPR, administering medications, caring for senior/special needs pets and high-energy pets, brushing teeth/fur, and even some pet training. I am proud to extend my services to a broad range of pets, including cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, exotic animals, and more. I can also offer my home as a safe and comfortable space for your pets whenever needed. Although I am yet to undergo a police check (I haven’t committed or been involved with the police like that), I hold true to my Canadian, Jamaican, Trinidadian, Venezuelan, and West Indian roots and fluency in English making it easy for us to communicate. My practices are governed by goodwill love for animals, and as a non-smoker with exceptional swimming skills (lifeguard trained), I promise safety and immense care to all pets under my guardianship.
