I grew up under my dad who's a marine biologist and I've owned a variety of pets my whole life (cats, rabbits, dogs, fish, guinea pigs) and my greatest love in life is animals. I’ve worked on and off in the pet industry since around 2006, with that experience culminating into graduating the Veterinary Assistant program at Granville College in 2014. I dabbled in vet clinics for a while before working for Canine Adventure Den, where I became daycare manager. I worked at CAD from 2014-2019, during which time I got my Canine Hydrotherapy certification and worked independently out of a hydrotherapy pool built for me at the daycare facility where I managed my own schedule and clients. In 2019, when the daycare owner announced she was going to be selling the business, I decided I needed a change in environment and switched over to the animation industry. Due to the nature of my profession, while dealing with sick, elderly and injured dogs was extremely rewarding and fulfilling, I experienced a great amount of compassion fatigue and decided that was the ideal time for me to make a change in careers. Fast forward to today, where I’m still in animation working as a production coordinator, where I have the privilege of working from home. I have a 2 year old Silken Windhound named Newt and a 9 year old sphynx cat named Wednesday. Getting Newt re-invigorated my love for working with dogs and the dog community. I'm an active member of my local dog communities, where I organize get-togethers and doggy parties. Getting Newt has opened up my world so much and has made us so many friends. I'm looking for part-time work helping people and their pets to supplement my current day job and give me the opportunity to keep involved in the industry I love so much.

I have my Veterinary Assistant college diploma via Granville College in Vancouver, BC. I also have my Canine Hydrotherapist certification from La Paw Spa in Sequim, WA.
