I am an international student from China, currently studying at Gateway College. Before coming to Canada, I dedicated five years as a stray animal rescue volunteer in Nanjing. My role involved not only rescuing and caring for injured and vulnerable animals but also helping them recover emotionally from the trauma of abuse and abandonment. I have a proven ability to foster and rehabilitate animals, restoring their trust and preparing them for adoption into loving homes. In addition to rescuing numerous animals, I have personally cared for seven kittens and a dog for five years. This hands-on experience has taught me patience, empathy, and essential training skills—qualities I bring when caring for any animal. My deep understanding of their emotional needs ensures that I can provide your pets with the nurturing care they deserve. I am passionate about creating a safe and comforting environment, which I believe is key to the well-being of any furry companion. To deepen my understanding of my furry companions, I am currently enrolled in two online courses: The Truth About Cats and Dogs and Dog Emotion and Cognition. Through these courses, I aim to gain a deeper insight into the emotional worlds of both cats and dogs, which will help me strengthen the emotional bonds I share with them. By understanding their feelings more profoundly, I can create environments where they feel safer, happier, and more secure. Upon completing these courses, I will receive certifications, further demonstrating my commitment to their well-being. I am capable of speaking fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
