Job description: We are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain our busy household and keep it running smoothly. Our home is active with 2 young children and parents who travel for work and also work part time from home. The candidate needs to be comfortable working alone, sometimes around children and doesn’t mind if homeowner (employer) is working from home. Hours: Part time, week day. Flexible shifts. Up to 20-25 hours available each week. Details to be discussed at interview stage. Skills: Good communicator, professional, reliable attendance, ability to work independently, follows instructions. Works efficiently, detailed-oriented and takes initiative. Key Responsibilities and Requirements: - Must have own transportation - Criminal record check required - References will be required after the interview stage Cleaning: General house cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, wiping down counters, wiping down outdoor patio furniture during spring/summer, cleaning bathrooms, emptying recycling and garbages) Occasional deep cleaning of home appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, washing machine & dryer, toaster) Occasional deep cleaning of 3 bathrooms, the fourth bathroom only requires cleaning occasionally during the pool season. Help with seasonal change-over of closets (winter gear/summer coats and shoes). Laundry & Linens: - Household laundry, ironing clothes, changing bed linens, replenishing towels Cooking: - Cooking a few meals a weeks - Meal planning for the week ahead and prepping food General organization: - Help with keeping the home organized and tidy - Refilling household supplies - Keeping stock of household supplies (such as kitchen pantry items, paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies) - Creating weekly grocery list - Occasional organization/tidy-up projects (pool shed tidying, children’s craft cupboards, game board cupboard, kitchen pantry, bedroom closets, laundry room) If interested in this role, please forward me your resume and a brief summary about your previous experience and why you feel you’d be a great fit for our household.
