I am a private employer currently in need of a dedicated housekeeper to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the home. The preferred start date for this position is 26th March 2024. This is a part-time position averaging less than 20 hours per week. Live-in or live-out applicants are welcome to apply. Your duties will span across multiple areas. Primarily, you will clean the inside of the home and the immediate external areas, thereby ensuring a clean and healthy environment. Kitchen duties will involve detailed cleaning of the fridge, cupboards, oven, dishwasher, pantry, counters, and floors, as well as dish washing. The suitable candidate will manage laundry activities, including washing, drying, and ironing of clothes and household items. On special events, you will aid in meal preparation, service, and possibly take charge of cooking and serving family guests. You will be responsible for grocery shopping and other household errands, keeping the household supplies fully stocked, and regularly checking the pantry for out-of-date and spoiled items. In cases where we have guests, you will receive and serve them accordingly. Other responsibilities include pet care, plant care (both garden and household plants), supervising tradesmen/contractors, and rotating seasonal clothing in closets. Additionally, you will have to oversee house-sitting, handle household finances and bills, make travel arrangements on behalf of the employer and maintain household security. Should the need arise, you may be required to hire and supervise other household staff members and plan or direct special events. Your work schedule will be a blend of morning and evening shifts from Monday to Sunday.
