Job Title: Private Housekeeper / Nanny (Full-Time) Live-out position.
Hours of Work: 5 days a week on-site, typically 9 a.m - 5 p.m. Flexibility may be needed from time to time.
Location: Toronto/GTA
Salary: $50, 000 – $55, 000 gross annually (Employer contributions to CPP and EI included, in accordance with Ontario and federal law).
Overview:
We are seeking a professional, dedicated, and detail-oriented Private Housekeeper / Nanny to support a respectful and well-organized private household in Toronto. This role is primarily high-end housekeeping and cooking (80%), and the nanny component is (20%). This role is ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a high-standard home environment and who values trust, consistency, and long-term employment.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, observant, and capable of working independently while maintaining excellent communication with members of the household. We value professionalism, discretion, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Care & Maintenance
Perform daily and deep cleaning to a high-end, detail-oriented standard.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all living spaces.
Clean and care for delicate surfaces, including fine furniture, hardwood floors, stone, and specialty finishes.
Use appropriate cleaning methods and products based on surface and material type.
Garment, Laundry & Linen Care
Sort, wash, dry, steam, and organize household laundry.
Identify fabric types and follow care labels precisely.
Hand-wash, steam, or coordinate professional cleaning for delicate or high-value garments.
Maintain linen rotation and organization.
Organization & Household Systems
Maintain orderly storage areas, closets, and household inventories.
Support established household systems and suggest improvements where appropriate.
Ensure a clutter-free, well-functioning home environment.
Child Support (High-school student)
Provide supportive presence and occasional help for high-school aged student.
Such as preparing food for them after school.
Maintain a calm, safety-focused, and respectful presence.
Support routines in coordination with the family’s preferences.
Cooking & Light Meal Preparation
Prepare simple, nutritious meals as required.
Experience with, or willingness to learn, Chinese cuisine is considered an asset.
Errands & Light Travel
Occasional errands within the city (e.g., groceries, household pickups)
Skills:
Required
Demonstrated experience in private household housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, general housekeeping and/or nanny roles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Knowledge of proper care for fine materials, surfaces, and household items.
Professional discretion and respect for household privacy.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Asset
Background or training in hospitality, luxury service, or household management.
Advanced garment and fabric care experience (silk, cashmere, wool, couture items).
Cooking experience and openness to learning new cuisines (Chinese)
Valid Ontario driver’s licence
Effort & Accountability:
This role requires consistent physical activity, including standing, lifting light household items, bending, and repetitive motions.
A high level of care is required, as errors may result in damage to valuable household items or surfaces.
Attention, focus, and sound judgment are essential at all times.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a respectful, professional, and stable private household.

Occasional schedule flexibility may be required with advance notice.
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary: $50, 000 – $55, 000 CAD.
Employer-paid CPP and EI contributions.
Transportation support: Reimbursement for monthly TTC pass (for non-drivers).
Recruitment Process:
