I am Ulli, a 34-year-old young woman traveling alone and I'm originally from Germany. I have already worked for a total of 20 employers in over 10 countries. Partly as a permanent cook and pastry chef and the other part as a traveler, where I mostly had an all-rounder position which included: cooking, gardening, housesitting, pet sitting, cleaning, animal care, shopping, transporting, receiving guests, laundry, woodworking, field work, maintenance, photography, spending time together, etc. I started my long-term travel in March 2019, during my 5-year backpacking trip I have worked for many people and immersed myself in various jobs. If you would be interested, I surly can send you my CV to your email address, which gives you a good overview of the experiences I have already gained. For example I have gained a lot of experience working on farms, operating heavy machinery, built kilometers of barbed wire fences in the middle of the hot Australian outback, gardening, tree planting, housekeeping, dog training so as animal care in total, growing and harvesting vegetables and fruit, I also accompanied a woman with MS for several months and helped her with household chores, welcome and look after guests ect. I am a trained cook, pastry chef and cake designer - I have dedicated over 14 years to this profession. I love working with fresh food and cooking&baking for other people to make them happy and healthy, there is almost no better way to bring people together. This June 2024, I started my new training as an Epigenetic Coach (which is completely online) a „new“ science that was completely foreign to me a few months ago. Since I have been dealing with it more, a lot of things have made sense to me and I want to find out and learn more about it, my goal would be to use this as a new building block to make something completely new out of myself and to open up new career paths for me. However, this training does not restrict me in terms of time, I can do it after work or on my days off, I would just need an internet connection I hold my work and travel visa for Canada in my hands. I haven't booked a flight to Canada yet because I don't know exactly where to start my journey - but from mid/end of August I would be available and flexible with my time to enter the country and start to work at any time. I plan to stay for at least 2 years, so I could work for you longer then 1 month if you like. **I had to give a phone number and address to register here, neither of which belongs to me, I had to improvise a bit. As soon as I find the right job, I can book the flight straight away and start working in no time** I have driving license but I will not travel with my own car in Canada. What can I offer? Lots of good mood, plenty of motivation and muscle power ;) I have a lot of experience with guests or customers of all kinds, I'm very good with people and make them feel welcome and at home. I love to work with my hands and am physically fit - so gardening, working in the forest or with heavy machines are no problem for me. I also love to express my creativity and participate in art projects of all kinds Of course, the kitchen is my domain ;) I also love fermenting and preserving all kind of foods and I like to experiment a lot in this direction. I am also very interested in wild medicinal herbs and herbs that we find in nature and I cook with them or make tinctures, teas or spices from them. I have worked in many accommodations where I also took care of cleaning the rooms. I have German punctuality and thoroughness (at least all the other employers have always appreciated that), I am very good at organizing things and myself. On top of that, I am a super curious person who always likes to learn something new and supports others wherever help is needed :) I am also happy to be available for a video call if you are more interested. I wish you all a wonderful time! Ulli Ps. I completed my college education in Germany and my apprenticeship as a chef. I completed my patisserie apprenticeship in France. I took my last first aid course 6 months ago in Finland. Pps. And even if this cannot be tested in writing or by the state, my 5-year trip around the world so far has been the greatest, most intensive and most educational training for my personal development, which no school in the world could have taught me :)

Even though I wouldn't equate the job of a cook with a job like a housekeeper, cleaning is still the non plus ultra for this job. The kitchen is my domain and will always be fully organized, clean and stocked. further experiences: In the house where I grew up, we had 3 holiday apartments, which I always had to clean and prepare as teenager. I have been travelling around the world for 5 years and have worked for more than 10 employers who couldn't be more different. I have always been provided with accommodation by my employers, and the deal always includes taking care of the house, doing laundry, looking after animals, doing groceries, helping in the garden and helping to cook meals. I have worked for 5 employers (Sweden, Portugal, Australia, Norway, Mexico) where I was mainly responsible for taking care of the guests' accommodation (hostel, Airbnb, vacation apartment). I welcomed the guests, prepared the rooms or apartments and cleaned them again afterwards.
