I am writing to express my keen interest in the Personal Support Worker position advertised. Since I was young, I've had a strong desire to assist others. My desire grew stronger when my grandmother became ill and I had to learn how to take care of her. As I grew up, I realized that helping others is my passion, and with seven years in this field; I assisted patients in nursing homes, retirement homes, and their own homes to provide the quality care services they needed. Through these roles, I learned that compassion, patience, empathy, kindness, humor, and time management skills are valuable traits for a PSW. My primary focus is on patient satisfaction, and I strive to make a difference by providing high-quality services. I am currently a PSW student at Algonquin College. I strive to ensure my clients' well-being and comfort by promoting their independence, respecting their dignity, and satisfying their needs to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. I have applied this understanding in my previous roles, providing high-quality services to patients in nursing homes, retirement homes, and their homes.
