Lisa V.
I am a laid-back, positive, joyful, and loving person who genuinely enjoys the company of people and animals (insects excluded!). I have a natural gift for organization and a keen eye for detail—decluttering brings me real satisfaction and supports my passion for creating calm, welcoming spaces. I’m a mature woman and empty-nester who has been divorced for 35 years, yet still plays a supportive role in my ex-husband’s life. Born in the U.S., I moved to Canada at 16 after growing up in Europe—living in Switzerland, Italy, France, and the UK. I’m now a proud dual citizen of both Canada and the U.S. My home has always been the gathering place—for family, friends, neighbours, and my daughter’s circle—for BBQs, showers, weddings, game nights, and peaceful moments. Venting is always allowed and respected in my space. I speak French and Italian and am currently learning Spanish. Communication and connection are deeply important to me, and I believe in treating every person with kindness and respect. Everyone carries their own story, and I genuinely believe each person has something to teach me. Music is one of my great joys. I’ve sung with an award-winning church choir, the Oakville Sweet Adelines barbershop choir, My Pop Choir, and even ran karaoke nights for two years—all while working full-time and raising my daughter. I thrive on learning, growing, and being challenged to do and be better. I love gardening, musicals, concerts, floating in the pool, meaningful conversations, and dreaming big. At heart, I’m a hopeful person—always looking ahead.
I have spent the last 40 years caring for my own home, as well as maintaining my parents’ homes on the Côte d’Azur. Raising a family means I’m well-versed in all aspects of household management—grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation are second nature. Professionally, I’ve worn many hats: as a facility services manager overseeing three head office buildings, as a handyma’am tackling home maintenance and repairs with a knowledge of plumbing and electrical, and as a contractor coordinating projects, purchasing materials, and working directly with clients. Beyond my practical skills, I bring energy, intelligence, and a great sense of humour. I love working with people and bring positivity to everything I do. I don’t like to brag—but honestly, I really am the full package! My love language is service to others. As my husband has moved into a residence due to dementia and my daughter has moved to Saskatoon, I miss having a family to look after and spoil. I am looking for a new family to love!
