I've recently moved to Montréal from Glasgow, Scotland and am searching for a housekeeping/cleaning position with an immediate start. I'm completely flexible with shift patterns, and available for full- or part-time work. I have a Canadian Work Visa. After a few years of working behind a screen, I'm seeking a completely different kind of role; one where I can make a difference to people's every day lives by improving their environment or assisting with household tasks. I'd describe myself as friendly, helpful and positive. Helping others brings me lots of personal satisfaction, and this is what would motivate me in my role as a housekeeper or assistant. I'm equally comfortable working alongside others, or by myself, having done both extensively in previous jobs. In my spare time, I like to keep active and spend plenty of time outdoors (although I'm still adjusting to the unpredictability of Montreal weather!) I'm also a big music lover and like to attend local shows. For the past year, I've dedicated most of my spare time to learning French. My level at the moment is probably around lower intermediate. I have four years of experience in the hospitality and service industry across restaurants, cinemas and bars. In these roles, hygiene and cleanliness were non-negotiable for delivering an unforgettable guest experience. Tasks included sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, mopping, appliance-specific deep cleans, window-cleaning, washing dishes and more. During this time, I learned the importance of attention to detail, and to balance thoroughness with speed to get the best results. In June 2025, I volunteered as a housekeeper in a quality, family-friendly hostel. Daily tasks included: room turn-downs, deep cleaning of bathrooms, deep cleaning of the kitchen (including of all appliances), sweeping, mopping and managing the laundry service. I'd like to find a role in this sector because I know that spotless surroundings can be the difference between a bad day and a good one. I'd like to help to make that difference!
