I recently moved to Montréal from Scotland, and I am looking for part-time or full-time work in housekeeping/cleaning. I am very flexible with shift patterns, available for an immediate start and I have a visa allowing me to work in Canada. I am a friendly, organised, and hard-working individual with great attention to detail. I am self-motivated and work through tasks efficiently and quickly. I have 1 year of experience working as a cleaner/housekeeper, cleaning AirBnB accommodation apartments. This included tasks like laundry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, mopping and taking out garbage. Having worked for 5+ years in the service industry in Scotland (in cafes and restaurants), I have gained valuable experience ensuring the cleanliness of the workplace throughout every shift. I carried out regular cleaning tasks such as sanitising surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, clearing tables, emptying bins, organising and replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers and guests. I also recently volunteered in a hostel in Magog, QC where I gained additional housekeeping experience. I also have 6+ years of work experience in the marketing industry in Scotland, working in a variety of roles covering social media strategy, e-commerce and email marketing. I take pride in maintaining a professional attitude in the workplace, and I would carry this over to any new role in the housekeeping/cleaning industry. Outside of work, I enjoy creative activities such as painting and crocheting, as well as cooking/baking and attending festivals with friends. I have been learning French for two years, and spend much of my free time studying to improving my understanding and practice of the language. I am also a part time dog-walker (and all round animal lover!), and have experience volunteering and fostering cats for an animal protection charity in Scotland.
