Hello! My name is Olu, and I am a warm, dependable, and caring professional based in Calgary. I have more than eight years of experience in roles that require patience, organization, excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
As someone who naturally enjoys caring for people, I have experience looking after children and understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they can thrive. I believe in treating every child with kindness, respect, and encouragement while supporting their routines, learning, and development. I am happy to assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs, meal preparation, homework support, reading, creative activities, light housekeeping, and maintaining structured daily routines. I hold a First Aid & CPR Certification and a vulnerable sector search as well.
I enjoy cooking and take pride in preparing wholesome, home-cooked meals. I hold a recent Food Safety certification and am comfortable preparing a variety of dishes, including rice, pasta, potatoes, and meals featuring chicken, beef, lamb, and pork. I understand the importance of cleanliness and maintaining an organized home environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, learning new things, planning and organizing events, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. I have volunteered extensively in my community, including serving as a Volunteer Coordinator for a multicultural festival, where I recruited, trained, and supported volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Families would describe me as responsible, reliable, trustworthy, calm under pressure, patient, and highly organized. I am a good communicator, pay close attention to detail, and genuinely enjoy helping others. I have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and understand the importance of punctuality and dependability when caring for children and supporting busy families.
I would be honoured to become a trusted and positive part of your family's support system and look forward to the opportunity to provide dependable, compassionate, and professional care.
My experience spans several roles, including Mother's Helper, House Manager/Housekeeper, Nanny, and Chef. I have a current First Aid & CPR Certification and a vulnerable sector check. Please read details of my experience below.
As a housekeeper/house manager, I keep all parts of the home clean at all times so you and your family can relax without worrying about chores. I do laundry, fold and put clothes away per your specifications. I have prepared dinner in advance for families as part of my housekeeping duties. I take inventory of pantry items and create a shopping list of needed items around the home. I can also do shopping and other household errands and supervise contractors for your home improvements or repairs. I have my own vehicle and can handle school pickups and drop-offs for your children.
As a Nanny, I have cared for children from newborns to 6-year-olds. I picked them up from daycare and kindergarten, made their meals and fed the infant as well. I took them to the playground, watched over them while they napped and got them ready for bed. I was a postpartum support for a new mom as well, where I cooked her meals, did laundry from washing to folding and putting away and other chores around the home as needed.
I am also a personal chef who can incorporate this service into a customized plan for you and your family. I cook a variety of common rice, potato and pasta dishes. I make a really delicious steak and a mean oven-grilled chicken as well.
My rates are friendly, affordable and reflect my level of detail and organisation that will surely improve your daily life.
