I've done basic cleaning at my family home and for friends. I also did some cleaning while house sitting. Additionally, my father has a moving company, and I have cleaned on some of those jobs (often in less than ideal conditions). I have also participated in taking garbage to the landfill. I also live on a farm with a big family which means that there’s always something to clean or organize. I could share more about myself but that’s the bare bones of it. I had played a few different roles during my time at Roots. I was in the 0-3 and 4-6 groups primarily which meant that those were the ages I had the most experience with taking care of. I have also worked at Urban Grace/Grace City church and helped with taking care of that same age group as well as some elementary aged children. I have experience with filing incident reports and also with caring for minor issues. Once I was involved in taking care of kids during a system failure that left the building in almost complete darkness (there were a few emergency lights that came on) and myself and two coworkers (I only remembered one being there but was reminded that another had been present as well) played games with the kids and helped them to enjoy themselves despite their fear. I can’t say that I have many extraordinary achievements but I can say that I have had a lot of small acts of showing up for kids and being faithful in my work.

I was raised on a farm which means that I have a bunch of experience working with sheep and chickens, gardening, and maintaining/cleaning/organizing the property and home. I have fed the sheep and given them water, shorn them (hand sheers), clipped their hooves (not solo but with a person holding them), and got up in the night to check on the lambs/feed the lambs. I also fed and gave water to the chickens, and collected eggs. I also have experience with mucking out stalls and freshening the living conditions for the animals. I have worked in all kinds of temperatures and through all kinds of personal and situational struggles. I am most experienced in animal care.
