I am Katherine, a creative professional with a diverse background in the arts and a passion for making a difference. I work remotely, designing impactful programs and currently editing my first novel. I enjoy exploring various creative pursuits, such as painting, drawing, reading, and writing.
My 15-year career in apparel and interior design was deeply rewarding, but I felt a strong calling to serve my community. Transitioning into the non-profit sector, I leveraged my professional skills and embarked on a 12-year journey as a director. This experience has allowed me to combine my creative talents with a commitment to positively impacting the lives of others.
While I may not have any children of my own, I am a proud pet parent to my beloved cat, Katie. She was one of my foster pets, but our connection was so strong that I knew she was meant to be a permanent part of my family. As a senior cat, Katie needed a stable and loving home, and I was more than happy to provide that for her. Unfortunately, my initial plan to continue fostering cats was put on hold when I discovered that Katie doesn't get along well with other felines. Despite this unexpected twist, I'm grateful for the joy and companionship Katie brings into my life, and I feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful pet.
My faith is a cornerstone of my life and daily routine. I actively engage with my church community, volunteering weekly and participating in a women's group on Monday evenings. These experiences provide spiritual nourishment and fulfillment, and connect with other like-minded individuals.
I am fortunate to reside in the tranquil, rural area of Hannon, which I have grown to love deeply. Surrounded by vast expanses of land, I have the privilege of enjoying peaceful walks and jogs on the nearby fields. The serenity of this environment offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life, making it an ideal place to call home.
Seeking a part-time position outside of the home, I am eager to apply my people skills, love for helping others, and excellent driving abilities. I find joy in assisting people in reaching their destinations comfortably and efficiently, all while providing enjoyable company. With a passion for making connections and contributing positively to others' experiences, I believe I would excel in a role that allows me to combine my skills and interests.
I have had a career as a Director of Operations for many years and have traveled across Canada, living and working in B.C., Alberta, and Ontario.
I also worked in downtown Toronto for many years, commuting daily to and from work. I am very comfortable with rush hour traffic and highway driving.
Additionally, I visit my mom in Pickering every other week, so I am very familiar with both the 403 and the 401.
