We're in need of a dedicated, punctual, and experienced school transportation driver to facilitate weekday commutes for our 14-year-old triplets. This immediate hire presents an exciting long-term opportunity that extends until June end, with a potential for extension into the 2027-2028 schooling year.
Your key responsibility will be to commute the boys between Fraser Heights, our home location, and Woodland Park Elementary School. In the afternoon, an additional drop off at the Johnston Heights Secondary School will be required.
The schedule runs from Monday to Friday - school days only. The morning pick-up is around 8:10 a.m, with an estimated arrival at school by 8:25 a.m. Afternoon pick up starts at Woodland Park Elementary School at 2:20 p.m. You'll then drive them to Johnston Heights Secondary School for a parental drop-off.
Two of our boys are independent, while one requires more supervision and support. Though previous experience with young ones with special needs would be an asset, it's not a strict requirement. Guidance will be provided to ensure a smooth routine.
It's crucial you come with a valid BC driver's license, a reliable vehicle with proper insurance, and can boast a clean driving record. Being dependable, patient, punctual, and comfortable with children transport is paramount to this part-time role. One of the three boys uses a small booster seat that will be provided.
You can expect compensation of $100 per school day, which approximates to roughly $50/hour. This accounts for your vehicle's use, insurance, and fuel costs. Payments will process through MCFD funding via cheque.
Please send your message of interest, confirming availability, any childcare or driving experiences relevant, a short description of your vehicle, and your valid driver's license with a reliable car confirmation. To verify you've comprehended this whole ad, please include the word "cheque" in your message response.
Serious, live-out considerations only, please, as we're focusing on someone who can consistently be a part of our boys' daily routine for less than 20 hours per week. If possible, we're looking to have you on board by asap, until the end of June 2026. If interested in continuing, work would then start again in September for the 2026-2027 school year. Let us know what you would prefer. You can also ask for just the mornings or afternoons.
