Cooking for myself with limited time has also helped to balance eating well, and enjoying the process of cooking with also just needing to get something on the table and in the fridge for the week. And running my own macaron business improved my speed and attention to detail, while learning to apply those skills of exactness and precision from baking into the realm of cooking. I also care about cooking meals with impacts on the environment in mind, but that does mean shying away from interesting recipes, or sacrificing deliciousness. I have had to adapt my recipes often to suit the dietary restrictions of multiple people in my life, from gluten free, to vegetarian to completely nut free.
