My name is Hannah; I grew up in Stratford, Ontario, a beautiful theatre town, surrounded by farmland. Growing up in the countryside cultivated a deep appreciation for fresh, homegrown ingredients, a curiosity about where our food comes from, and how to treat each ingredient with the utmost respect. That connection to the land still guides me today in how I cook — I focus on seasonal, quality ingredients and love supporting local producers.
I started my culinary career at the ripe age of 14, starting as a dishwasher in a family Greek restaurant and working my way up throughout the years, in small bistros, grand hotels and fine dining establishments all across Canada from coast to coast. I studied culinary arts and business in Ireland, then moved to the south of Germany to specialize in pastry.
My training gave me a strong foundation in both savoury and sweet cooking, and I’ve continued building on that through hands-on experience and travel. Most recently, I spent three months backpacking through South America, which expanded my knowledge of global flavours and cooking styles and reinforced my belief that food is one of the best ways to connect with people and culture.
I’m a firm believer that clean eating doesn’t have to mean bland or restrictive—it’s not just boiled chicken or plain salads. I love creating meals that are balanced, vibrant, and satisfying. And when it comes to dessert, I believe indulgence and wellness can absolutely coexist.
Outside of the kitchen, I love to travel, be outdoors, and explore new food cultures. I bring a calm, friendly, and professional energy into every home I cook in—whether it’s for weekly meal prep, dietary-specific menus, or special events. My goal is always to make food feel personal, nourishing, and genuinely enjoyable.
After spending 11 years in the world of fast-paced restaurant kitchens, I am craving a more personal connection to the people I cook for. Private cooking allows me to slow down, be more intentional, and really tailor each experience to the individual or family I’m working with. I love being able to bring the same level of care and creativity you'd find in a restaurant, but in a way that feels more human, more adaptable, and ultimately more fulfilling for both myself and the people I cook for.
I’m a professionally trained chef with a strong background in both savoury and pastry, and I’ve worked in a range of kitchens - from fine dining restaurants to private events and in-home catering. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for creating personalized meals that not only taste great but also fit each client’s unique lifestyle, preferences, and dietary needs. Whether it’s weekly meal prep, a special dinner, or helping someone transition to a new way of eating, I love making people feel cared for through food. I’m organized, adaptable, and bring a calm, friendly presence into the home; I make the process smooth and enjoyable from planning to plating.
