My name is Laila, and I am a passionate cook hailing from the Philippines, currently residing in London. I may not carry the title of a chef officially, but I assure you my love for cooking crafts every dish as a chef would. I have specialized in preparing Chinese, Korean and Vegetarian cuisines and come with a year of professional working experience besides the vast experience of working in my family-owned restaurant in London, Ontario. I am available all throughout the week, from mornings to evenings, and my services extend beyond just cooking. I can perform various cook duties like table setting, serving, baking, preparing children's meals, keeping the kitchen clean, purchasing products, washing dishes, organizing and making food for events, cooking everyday & dietary meals, taking orders from the employer, supervising kitchen staff, and helpers, as well as creating a menu considering the employer's preferences.
Over the years, I have developed special skills like knowledge of sanitary and hygienic standards, experience in the confectionary industry and sushi preparation, managing employees, barbecuing, professional plating, and catering.
Though I'm in Canada on a tourist visa now, you can completely trust my dedication and commitment to my role, as cooking is not only my profession but my passion. My mother tongue is Tagalog, but I am entirely fluent in English. Joining your family as a live-in cook won't be an issue for me. Life has taught me many dishes, and I can't wait to put them on your table.
