I do not have any cooking training but my first attempt was at 4 I made my mom pancakes when she was sick. My Mom was a very good seamstress so cooking wasn’t her favourite thing to do so I cooked in my teens until 20. I helped cooks sometimes when I worked as a dietary aide in fancy seniors homes, when I worked at Sears cafe I made most of the sandwiches and wraps. I cooked for a few seniors when I worked as a companion. And did a bit of food prep! I haven’t actually worked as a cook but many people thought I should have. I did help the cooks sometimes when I worked as a dietary aide years ago. I planned my Moms 70th birthday over 10 years ago hired entertainment, made most of the food and drinks people thought it was catered! I use to do lol all the cooking when my children where small, made most of the decorations my self, and often the cake. I use to plan and make things for parties. I had and my parents had. When I moved back to Victoria I did all the cooking for my parents and children. When I worked as a companion to seniors there were several I cooked for mostly lunch. I did a bit of meal prep for one guy! Love to cook my favourite is Mexican, some Chinese, some Italian and some more traditional Canadian cooking. I like making muffins, cookies, loaves but not bread. Desserts; usually mire like a parfait, Chocolate, chocolate dipped strawberries. am good at making drinks or virgin drinks I often made my children when they still lived at home mostly like a smoothie.

I've always been passionate about food and cooking, a true foodie at heart. My career has taken me through an exciting journey across hospitality, sales, and marketing. But what really thrills me is getting to blend these experiences with my love for culinary arts. This passion led me to create Kiki’s Organic Tea & Spice Company, where I dived into the world of entrepreneurship. Running this business wasn't just about selling tea and spices; it was a journey in enhancing my culinary skills. From managing a bustling wholesale operation to serving up delightful lunches in our cozy teashop, from catering unique events to bringing smiles at Island festivals with my food truck, each step has been a fulfilling adventure. It's these varied experiences that have shaped me into a well-rounded professional, ready to bring a dash of creativity and a spoonful of expertise to any culinary challenge. From a young age, my life has revolved around the delights of the kitchen, cultivating a true foodie's passion for intricate flavors and cooking. This journey has taken me through an exciting path in hospitality, sales, and marketing, all converging into my profound love for the culinary arts. Creating Kiki’s Organic Tea & Spice Company was a significant leap into entrepreneurship, where I immersed myself in the world of flavor, blending spices and crafting unique profiles that go beyond mere taste. This venture was not just about running a business; it was an extension of my culinary exploration, enhancing my skills in creating dishes that resonate with comfort and familiarity. My approach to cooking, best described as 'slow food family style, ' focuses on carefully crafted dishes that cater to a variety of dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and raw, ensuring each meal is not only nutritious but also a celebration of flavors. Whether managing a bustling wholesale operation, serving delightful lunches in our cozy teashop, catering for unique events, or spreading joy at Island festivals with my food truck, each experience has been a step in a fulfilling adventure. I am a 39 year old with a multi-diverse skillset that I have refined over the years. I am cook, a yoga and meditation teacher, athlete (soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football), and musician. <3. I care very much for people and the world around me which is why I try to apply my talents where I can. I worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years starting as a hostess, to waitress, to manager and than banquet management. I left the restaurant industry to pursue education, and since then, I have worked in publishing, IT, and advertising. I have spent many hours in the kitchen, received my food safe, refining my skillet to different cuisines as this is a big passion of mine, and the way I show my love to my family, friends, and people like you. I really look forward to connecting. I cook ethnic, vegan, vegetarian, comfort classics, as well as accommodating modifications due to allergies, and food sensitivities. I have food safety credentials.

Hello! I'm so glad you are taking the time to find a food solution that works for you. I believe nutrition is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies. I lovingly craft every dish I make with micro and macro nutrients in mind. I found my love for cooking while growing up and preparing dishes with mother, but honed my craft working part-time while attending the University of Victoria. I have worked in local restaurants from The Village to Browns Social House and devoured information and food alike. I was born in Vancouver and graduated from the University of Victoria a couple years ago with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and I now I live with my partner in an apartment near beacon hill park. I love a good Apple TV show and I love to cycle, practice acro-yoga, and play soccer on the weekends. I have worked professionally as a Cook for 3 years. From Eggs Benedict to a full English Roast I have experience making restaurant quality dishes.

Greetings to you, who I hope is a fellow lover of all things food-related and who is undoubtedly reading this right now. From as far back as I can remember, cooking has been more than just a simple hobby for me- it's been a veritable passion, one filled with the excitement of exploring, experimenting and creating new recipes, and the exhilaration of mastering elusive culinary techniques. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently pursued the art of cooking by participating in numerous cooking classes. Engaging with varied cuisines in these classes, I found myself not just adapting but truly excelling in the culinary arts. What started as an interest transformed into a passion, morphing finally into a skill that I am proud to possess. Among my myriad experiences in cooking, I want to highlight a particularly poignant one - my tenure as a live-in cook between the years 2018 and 2020. My clients, two elderly gentlemen, presented me with an opportunity to combine my love for food with a sense of responsibility and service. This demanding yet fulfilling role challenged me in multiple ways, honing my skills whilst allowing me to learn and grow. This cherished experience not only deepened my love for cooking, but also enriched me on a personal level. Now, as I eagerly look forward to the next step in my culinary journey, I'm excited at the prospect of getting to know you better. I am optimistic that through shared passion, respect and coordination we can work together harmoniously - creating not just great food but also building unforgettable memories. Thank you for taking the time to read through my note, and I hope to hear from you soon! I was a live in cook for about 2 years from 2018-2020, I’ve taken multiple cooking classes, and love to cook at home.
