I studied culinary arts and hold a Red Seal Certification with over 7 years of professional cooking experience. I’ve had the honor of working in Vancouver, Dubai, Spain, France, and Saudi Arabia, which helped shape my understanding of cultures, people, and the different ways we show care. I was born Cape Verde and raised in Canada, and I speak English and Portuguese fluently. In my free time, I love cooking creative dishes, exploring new recipes, writing, listening to music, and spending time in nature. What makes me unique is my ability to create a warm, welcoming environment wherever I go. I use food, empathy, and presence to bring comfort and joy to others. What I bring is more than just service. It’s genuine care, cultural sensitivity, and a deep love for helping families feel at ease. CHILD CARE I’ve worked with children of all ages, from toddlers to pre-teens. I love engaging children through playful learning, cooking together, arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytelling, and dancing. I naturally build strong, respectful bonds with kids and enjoy creating a fun, nurturing atmosphere. In addition to being a certified chef, I have strong creative skills like painting, crafting, and guiding mindfulness activities. While I haven’t taken formal childcare courses yet, I’ve assisted families where light childcare was part of my chef duties, and I always bring attentiveness and safety into every situation. SENIOR CARE I have limited formal experience with senior care but I’m very comfortable preparing healthy, easy-to-eat meals and spending time in supportive companionship. I offer cooking, errands, conversation, light housekeeping, and I’m a good listener who brings peace and calm to the space. I enjoy caring for seniors because I find it deeply rewarding to give back and support those who have given so much to the world.
