Akshita L.
I am Akshita, a passionate home chef and a lover of the comforting ritual of cooking.Originating from Brantford, I have always found solace in the sound of vegetables being chopped or the heavenly aroma of garlic sizzling in olive oil. A memorable experience for me was when I made my first homemade pasta. Recalling the mess of flour, the feel of the dough kneading against my hands, and the satisfaction it brought, I realized that the joy of cooking is in creating something from scratch. This instilled in me a deeper appreciation for food and its creation process, and with over 3 years of experience, I am ready to start immediately with full-time availability, covering all hours from morning to evening, every day of the week. I am comfortable in various cooking roles, be it as a private/personal cook, a family cook, or catering for childcare or schools. In these roles, I am able to perform a variety of duties like table setting, serving, cooking children's meals, keeping the kitchen clean, organizing and making food for events, cooking everyday food, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, cooking dietary meals, and taking other orders from the employer. Furthermore, I am equipped with skills like knowledge of sanitary and hygienic standards and modern cooking technology, and also, I love barbecuing. I specialize in preparing vegetarian, Chinese, and Indian cuisines. I also hold a Food Handler’s Certification. My relocation flexibility and police clearance enhance my trustability, and the languages I speak, including English, Gujerati, and Hindi, allow me to relate well with a diverse group of people. As someone who doesn't smoke, I understand the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Ready to spice up your food life! Let's create a delightful culinary experience together.
Cooking at home has always been a comforting ritual for me. One of my favorite experiences was making my first homemade pasta. I remember the mess of flour on the counter and the feel of the dough as I kneaded it by hand. It wasn’t perfect, but the satisfaction of creating something from scratch—and the taste of fresh, homemade pasta—made all the effort worth it. That moment deepened my appreciation for the process and the joy that comes from making a meal with my own hands.
