Candace-Jo W.
I'm a small-town lady with deep roots in food, fun, and faith. I moved to Airdrie 17 months ago in search of new opportunities and city life, and I love living here. I enjoy walking, skating, and swimming. Currently, I work at the airport as a CSA and really enjoy it, although the commute can be long. My coworkers are fun, and I've achieved some things off my bucket list that I'm proud of. I've written a cookbook with all my favorite recipes and donated the proceeds to the Arthritis Society. I've also run a half marathon and had my own baking company called Candy's Craveables, supplying stores with my goodies. It's safe to say that food is my passion.
I have always loved cooking and baking. I have several years but only 22 years of employment in a large kitchen. I was head supervisor for 10 years in a large Seniors complex, then for 1 year in Airdrie. I have a kitchen management certificate from Red Deer College, as well as education in menu planning and inventory management. I believe nutrition is key to a great menu. I have raised 2 girls on simple, healthy foods and enjoy baking special treats with my grandkids.
