We are a family with a full-time nanny during the day (8–4, Monday–Friday) and are seeking a part-time evening household helper to support our home during the evenings a few days per week, with occasional weekend support. This role is primarily household / cooking focused, with light childcare assistance as needed while parents are present. Ideal for someone looking for predictable evening work rather than full-day nanny hours. Responsibilities: - Household Support (Primary Focus) - Meal prep and light cooking (family dinners, kid-friendly meals, snacks) - Kitchen clean-up and dishes - Tidying common areas and resetting the house for the next day - Laundry (folding, putting away, occasional loads) - Preparing kids’ snacks and lunches for the following day - Light organizing (toys, entryway, kitchen, closets as needed) - Light Childcare Support (Secondary) - Assisting with evening routines (bath time, pajamas, bedtime) - Being present in the home during date nights while children are asleep - Light supervision while parents are home (no sole daytime childcare) - Help with dog - feeding, walking, etc Schedule: - Evenings only - Typically 2–4 evenings per week (but negotiable) Shifts may include: - Late afternoon / early evening (e.g., 4:30–8:30 pm) - Occasional weekend evening or half-day - Schedule discussed in advance and kept consistent Ideal Candidate: - Experience as a nanny, mother’s helper, or household assistant preferred - Comfortable around young children and evening routines - Organized, dependable, and proactive - Enjoys cooking and keeping a home running smoothly - Able to work independently without close supervision - Looking for consistent evening part-time work Contractor & Payment Structure (Important) This position is structured as an independent contractor role: - You will be responsible for your own taxes - Payment will be made via invoice (bi-weekly or monthly) - No payroll deductions or employee benefits - Must be legally able to work as a contractor in Canada - References required We value professionalism, reliability, and clear communication, and aim to build a long-term working relationship with the right person.
