Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative personal chef to prepare healthy, nutritious meals at home twice a week for a single person. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selecting a variety of recipes, purchasing fresh ingredients, and cooking balanced meals that meet specific dietary preferences or restrictions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and select recipes for two meal preparation sessions per week.
• Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients based on selected recipes.
• Prepare and cook meals in the client’s home, ensuring they are nutritious, well-balanced, and aligned with dietary needs.
• Clean up the kitchen and store meals appropriately after each cooking session.
• Prepare enough meals for the days between cooking sessions, including portions for lunches or dinners.
• Occasionally provide meal prep tips or storage recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, adhering to all food safety standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a personal chef, caterer, or in a similar role with a focus on healthy cooking.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, balanced diets, and various healthy eating styles (e.g., low-carb, vegetarian, keto, etc.).
• Ability to plan and prepare a diverse range of dishes, including familiarity with dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to the client’s food preferences and requests.
• Reliable transportation for grocery shopping.
• Food safety certification is a plus.
Schedule:
• Two cooking sessions per week. Each session includes grocery shopping, meal preparation, and kitchen clean-up.
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate or fixed fee per session (depending on experience and scope of work).
