Your typical day as a Cook will have the following: Setting up food preparation equipment and supplies. Preparing meals and snacks as directed. Supplying prescribed feeds at proper temperatures and in portion-controlled amounts.
Monitoring the quality of food supplies received, informing the team leader of any issues and making suggestions for corrective action.
Assumes responsibility for departmental operations in the absence of the team leader, including menu adjustments as needed, requisitions, and purchases food and other supplies from authorised suppliers if directed.
Assisting with new team member orientation and training.
Attends in-service meetings; Assisting with other tasks as needed.
A minimum of a grade 12 education is necessary.
