Looking for a caring and reliable individual of Asian background (would be a plus if Cantonese speaking) to help support a senior patient at the Health Sciences Centre (William Street, Winnipeg). The role involves bringing home-cooked Chinese or other Asian meals to the hospital and spending about two hour with the senior during mealtimes, twice daily (lunch and dinner). Duties: • Pick up (we could also drop off) freshly prepared Asian meals from a private residence (location to be arranged) and if you do meal preparation that is more east Asian cuisine that would be very helpful as well (soft rice, meat, vegetables). • Deliver meals to the Health Sciences Centre on William Street • Sit with the senior for approximately one-1.5 hours during each meal, providing friendly company and assistance as needed - Do light leg and hand exercises in bed. • Commitment: Two visits per day (lunch and dinner), days may vary has some family can come during off-shift times to support - can discuss.
