We are recruiting a Personal Support Worker for our male client with dementia who requires assistance with Activities of Daily Living. He enjoys walks and playing board games. Start Date: - As soon as possible Location: - Victoria (Near James Bay Community Centre) Shifts & Hours of Work: - Two days a week: - 9:00am to 12:30pm - 3:30pm to 7:00pm Compensation: - $25.00 per hour Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): - Daily personal care such as showering, dressing, toileting, going for walks - Meal preparation - Laundry and light housekeeping - Occasional assistance to stand when sitting down (minimal lifting required) - Accompanying with client going for walks - Driving to and from Adult Day Program but can take Handy Dart if needed - YouTube gentle exercises and board games Required Qualifications: - Dementia care experience required - Driver’s License is an asset but not required - Patience and kindness are important - Must be fully vaccinated - Non-smoker - Mandarin/Cantonese speaking is required at basic level Individuals with disabilities can be more susceptible to severe symptoms of COVID-19.
