We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and professional Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide personalized, one-on-one in-home care to a female client in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This meaningful private home care position prioritizes the client's dignity, independence, and quality of life through attentive, respectful support with daily living activities, placing special emphasis on intimate personal hygiene, bathing, and comfort measures. Core responsibilities center on comprehensive bathing assistance, which includes safe and dignified shower or tub transfers utilizing grab bars, transfer benches, or mechanical lifts as appropriate; complete bed baths for clients with restricted mobility; thorough, gentle perineal and genital area hygiene to promote cleanliness, prevent infections, and support skin health; careful drying, application of moisturizers or barrier creams to avoid dryness or breakdown, and full assistance with dressing or undressing — always ensuring privacy, obtaining explicit consent, and maintaining emotional sensitivity throughout. Beyond bathing, the role encompasses grooming support (including hair care, makeup if desired, shaving, and oral hygiene), toileting assistance, mobility aid and safe transfers, light therapeutic touch or gentle massage techniques (such as back rubs or limb circulation within standard PSW guidelines) to enhance relaxation and well-being, meal preparation and feeding support, medication reminders, light housekeeping duties, companionship to combat loneliness, and occasional transportation to appointments or outings when a female caregiver is preferred to ensure client comfort during personal routines.
