The person to be cared for is a 92-year-old Italian man who values his independence but requires assistance with daily activities. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in bathing (including bed baths), conduct housekeeping tasks, handle the laundry, and plan and prepare meals. Cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, and hand washing dishes form a significant part of the daily tasks. Furthermore, the person under your care requires assistance with incontinence management. Given the nature of the job, I am specifically looking for someone who can commit to a work schedule covering the mornings and midday from Monday to Sunday, approximately 20 - 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate for this job will have proficiency in the Italian language as it would greatly assist in making the person feel comfortable and understood. Although owning a driver's license is not mandatory, it would be a plus. Please note this is a live-out position, meaning accommodation will not be provided. However, the job does not require the use of an automobile as all necessary tasks can be completed within the home-setting.
