Responsibilities: - Provide in-home care and assistance to elderly man living with Alzheimer’s - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, toileting -Assist with bedtime routine - Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, bathroom clean up & tidying up Skills: - Experience in assisted living, home care, or a related field is preferred -MUST have experience with advanced Alzheimer’s/Dementia - Familiarity with patient care techniques and best practices - Understanding of hospice care principles and practices is a plus - Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is beneficial - Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care - Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others Education: - PSW Certification or Nursing certificate a MUST - Police Vulnerable Sector Check preferred Experience: - Experience working with Seniors in a hospital setting, Retirement Home, LTC, or in home care settings -Experience with Alzheimer’s/Dementia patients Availability: - 7 days a week 6pm-10pm
