We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented caregiver/companion for my 91-year-old father, who recently lost his wife. He is physically fit and healthy for his age, enjoys going for walks, and is still able to shop and manage many daily activities independently. The position is located close to the Yonge & Bloor subway area. We are looking for someone to help support him as he ages in place comfortably and safely over the coming years. The ideal person is patient, calm, exceptionally clean and organized, and genuinely enjoys working with seniors. This is intended to be a long-term role. We are not looking for someone seeking only short-term or temporary work. Schedule We would begin with shorter shifts initially to ensure it is a good fit for everyone. The primary hours of responsibility will be approximately **3:00 PM – 8:00 PM**, focused on: * Preparing and serving dinner * Kitchen cleanup and dishes * Laundry and light housekeeping * Maintaining a very clean and organized living space * Providing companionship and general support during the evening Ideal Candidate * Patient, kind, and emotionally mature * Extremely clean, organized, and detail-oriented * Dependable, honest and trustworthy * Comfortable working with seniors * Looking for stable, long-term employment * Prior caregiving or companion experience preferred We are hoping to find someone who values consistency, reliability, and building a meaningful long-term connection with an older adult.
