I am looking for an Overnight Caregiver who can provide caring and compassionate assistance for a 92-year-old lady dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia. This role requires an individual who is understanding, patient, and can provide both physical and emotional support in a dignified and respectful manner. The primary responsibilities of the caregiver will include bathing assistance, toileting assistance, and keeping the bathroom clean. There may be a few instances during the night where assistance is needed for toilet trips. The caregiver will also need to assist with mobility, including helping the patient with walking. Other job responsibilities include housekeeping duties, ensuring the living environment is clean and comfortable for the patient. Since this lady has dementia, Alzheimer's care experience is vital for coping with possible challenges related to memory loss, confusion, and behavioural changes. I require overnight coverage from Sunday to Thursday. The caregiver should be prepared to sleep in the same room overnight to keep a watchful eye on the patient ensuring her safety. The working hours per week will be anywhere from 40 to 50 hours. The desired start date for this role is 30.11.2025. This position is a live-in role. Therefore, you will not need to hold a driver's license or have access to an automobile. The focus will be mostly on nighttime duty, with some flexibility to accommodate changes in the patient's sleeping pattern or general requirements. Note: The caregiver should be comfortable with or have experience in dealing with incontinence-related care (diapers).
