Caregiver Wanted – Surrey - 68th and 145A Street We are seeking a reliable, friendly caregiver for my 40-year-old brother, who is on the autism spectrum (Asperger’s). He is very kind, sweet, and independent with all daily activities, but he benefits from reminders, encouragement, and gentle supervision. Schedule & Hours: Approx. 2 hours late morning (around 11:30 am–12:00 pm start) Approx. 2 hours in the evening (around 6:30 pm start) Total: 4–5 hours per day / 7 days a week Responsibilities: Friendly prompting for daily morning routines (brushing teeth, washing face, changing clothes, meds, weekly bath) Meals will be prepared by the family, you just have to supervise his eating Supervising evening medication Taking short walks before evening meds (weather permitting) Building rapport and offering encouragement—he may resist certain tasks at first, so a patient, positive, and persuasive approach works best Living Arrangements: Position can be live-in or live-out We can provide a fully private bedroom in our two-bedroom basement suite, if live-in is preferred Compensation: Pay is negotiable, based on experience and arrangement Ideal Candidate: Kind, patient, and understanding of individuals on the autism spectrum Friendly, positive personality with good persuasion skills Reliable, consistent, and trustworthy If you are interested, please reply with a brief description of your experience and availability.
