We are looking for a reliable and dedicated PSW. The patient is relative independent. He needs assistance for the daily activities due to his memory repairing. The responsibilities would be: to help him getup with patience, to help him get dressed, help him shower and wash brush, grooming and remind him to go to washroom. prepare meals and remind him to take medicines, does activities with him, and house cleaning. Sometimes PSW needs to come with family members for patient's appointment. PS: we don’t do sponsorships.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in providing support, comfort, and companionship to older adults. Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: preparing nutritionally balanced meals, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable living environment through regular housekeeping duties, and managing laundry-related tasks. In addition to these standard care tasks, the caregiver will be expected to accompany the elderly patient on outings, appointments, and social gatherings. Their duties could often extend to accompanying them to routine medical check-ups or family events. This not only provides logistical support but also much-needed companionship. The caregiver may be called upon to assist with the important task of medication management, which includes organizing and monitoring the correct dosage and timings of the patient's prescribed medications. The caregiver will also provide support during daily activities, helping the elderly individual maintain a level of independence while ensuring their well-being and safety. Providing companionship to our elderly patient is fundamental; having someone around whom they can interact with and express themselves is invaluable to their emotional health. Lastly, we believe in providing focused and undivided attention to our patients. Therefore, a strong commitment to minimize personal phone usage during working hours is absolutely essential. The ideal caregiver should be able to fully engage with the duties of their role, creating a pleasant and safe environment for our elderly patient.

I am looking for a live in caregiver 5 days per week for my parents 94 years old in woodbridge area. My mother walks with a walker and my father walks very little and uses a wheelchair most of the time. They use a stairlift to go up and down the stairs. They need only supervision and/or minimal assistance with all ADL's although some days they may need more help than other days depending on how they feel. My father has become weak from chemo and my mom has sore hips and blood pressure issues. As they do not require a lot of assistance with ADL's at this time house keeping is required including washing dishes laundry vacuuming and washing floors and bathrooms and other household duties .Also some assistance with cooking may be needed depending on how my mother is feeling. However as this is a live in position only a little housecleaning per day needs to be done ..just enough that house stays clean. Also applicant must be willing to be be available during the night in the rare case that they are experiencing difficulty. My parents are kind gentle people who speak English and I am looking for someone who will be kind and gentle with them and be open to helping out as needed.

Looking for a female only. My mother is in Independent Living, but has a dementia diagnosis. She is very capable, but her short term memory is not great. She is very social, and where she is living has no evening activities. We would love someone to spend 2-3 hours with her in the evenings, 2 (possibly 3) times a week. This is to keep her occupied and her mind stimulated - this can be just visiting, playing games, going for short walks, etc. She also needs help getting ready for church on Sunday mornings - she can mostly dress herself, but it's more making sure she has everything she needs, and is ready to go for when the shuttle arrives. It'd be one hour on Sunday mornings. Please do not respond if you are not available in the evenings, on Sunday mornings, will not work in a retirement home, or are not close to Unionville.

Our father experienced a stroke several years ago, resulting in limited peripheral vision and some memory challenges. While he has days when he is mentally sharp, there are times when he might seem less courteous. He was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer two years ago and was recently hospitalized, during which he was fitted with a catheter. He remains mobile and does not currently require additional medical support. He is a native English and Cantonese speaker. We deeply care for our parents, and we are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, and understanding. As we adapt to this new chapter as a family, your support will be greatly valued.
