I am seeking a dedicated part-time caregiver for my 90-year-old mother, who has mild dementia. The role primarily entails evening assistance, approximate timings being 5pm to 9pm on all seven days of the week. Moreover, there is potential for an additional daytime shift. The candidate chosen for this role would be responsible for assisting my mother with meals and her toileting needs. Due to her limited mobility, she manages to get around with the use of a walker and needs assistance with walking. This role would require housekeeping duties, dishwashing by hand, and performing range of motion exercises. The caregiver will also be aiding in dressing and grooming, as well as assisting with lifts and transfers. The applicant must have prior experience or be willing to work with individuals suffering from dementia and osteoporosis. Importantly, the person should be a compassionate, patient individual, ready to provide Alzheimer/Dementia care. While a driver's license is not necessary, I would prefer someone who is capable of using their car as per necessity. This is a live-out role with working hours estimated to be between 20-30 hours per week. Ideal candidates would be local to Burnaby, with easy access to the Kingsway and Gilley area being a key consideration. The position is to be filled immediately. This role requires a special kind of person, someone who truly cares and can provide the necessary support to my mother. I look forward to discussing the position with suitable applicants.

I need a overnight caregiver for my 98 year father during night time. He is very independent, he needs someone to stay with him in case he needs help or in case of emergency. Someone who can also prepare his meals and give him bath and housekeeping. I am going out of town for a week. My dad is on pension income and would prefer someone who would be willing to negotiate the rate. I might have someone for a week during the daytime also if the rate is reasonable. If everything goes well I might need full time nanny in the near future since I am senior also and need extra help for myself also.

I am reaching out in hopes of finding a lively, outgoing individual to join me as a weekend-based, live-in caregiver who is energetic and talkative at my SFU residence. I use a wheelchair with SMA Type 2 - a condition causing significant muscle weakness. Although I possess complete sensation, I need support with transfers, dressing, bathing, and toilet needs, in addition to tube feeding. I'm sociable along with having a keen interest in politics, video gaming, movies and lively discussions on a broad range of topics. As the weekend live-in caregiver, I'll need you to help with some light housekeeping tasks, maybe a bit of laundry and ensuring my comfortability and positioning. The ability to deal effectively with Quad/Paraplegic Care is essential, along with proficiency in using a Hoyer Lift. Don't worry, we can train on the latter! :-) I live in a fully accessible residence unit at SFU. It's a nice, quiet space that backs onto a green space here. If you are a young at heart, extroverted person who is passionate about offering support to someone like me, please consider this opportunity. Looking forward to exploring the possibilities of this position with you. Together, we can make my university experience a memorable journey.
