For my mom with dementia mobile very happy but confuse. Assist for hygiene and meals
I am currently seeking a Full-Time Senior Caregiver for my mom who is wonderfully vibrant and jovial, but unfortunately struggles with dementia which leaves her somewhat confused. The role predominantly involves assistance with hygiene, meals, and ensuring there's a friendly, comforting presence around her. Ideally, I wish to fill this position immediately. A caregiver with prior experience in assisting those with dementia would be well suited, as the condition can have its unique difficulties. The responsibilities will include bathing and dressing assistance, toileting assistance, meal planning and preparation, assisting with walking, hand washing dishes, and implementing tailored care for her Alzheimer/dementia condition. Often, she may also need a bed bath so it would be favorable if you have experience with that as well. This role requires commitment and patience as the schedule runs for 30 hours per week. You will be required to assist her in mornings and throughout the day on Tuesdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. She will also require your assistance during mornings and evenings on Saturdays and Fridays occasionally This is a Live-Out position, therefore having a driver's license is not required. Additionally, personal automobile use is also not applicable for this position. In essence, the role is about making my mom's daily life as manageable, comfortable and joyful as possible. If you believe you fit the requirements and are ready to make a difference in someone's life with your care giving skills, I would love to hear from you. Together, we can ensure that my mom continues to find moments of happiness amidst her confusion. Hours might change and holidays as well
