Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Stroke Recovery Care Start Date: August 1st
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide care for a 65-year-old male stroke survivor. The individual is non-verbal and non-ambulatory due to a stroke, and requires daily hands-on support for personal care, mobility, and meal assistance. Primary Responsibilities: Diaper changes and personal hygiene assistance Transfers between bed and wheelchair using proper safety techniques Grooming support, including brushing teeth and changing clothes Feeding assistance and food supervision Support with mobility exercises and basic range-of-motion movements Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful care environment Provide emotional support and respectful, person-centered care Requirements: Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent experience Experience working with stroke patients or individuals with mobility and communication challenges Physically capable of performing safe patient transfers Police vulnerable sector check CPR/First Aid certification (preferred) Must carry active insurance, including: $2 million in general liability coverage $25, 000 in abuse liability coverage Availability: Morning shifts, evening shifts, and weekends Flexible schedule preferred Hiring for the position this week!
